A Walk Through Our History
There’s something special about seeing 50 years of Care & Share history come to life!
As you enter our new Harleysville location at 355 Maple Avenue, you’ll now find our beautiful new History Walls celebrating the remarkable story of Care & Share.
At our previous location, we simply didn’t have the wall space to tell this story the way it deserved to be told. Our new location has given us the opportunity to share more about where we came from, the vision of our founders, and the incredible impact that has been made over the past 50 years.
We were especially delighted to welcome one of our founders, Janet Vincent, for a recent visit to the new store. Janet enjoyed touring the building, meeting our team members, reminiscing about Care & Share’s early days, and seeing how the organization has grown and evolved. And, of course, she did a little shopping while she was here! Janet found a beautiful new sofa to take home—a wonderful reminder that even one of the people who helped create Care & Share 50 years ago can still find something special on our sales floor!
But the walls are about more than our history. They also tell the story of how YOU are part of the mission.

Your volunteer hours make it possible for us to welcome customers, process donations, prepare merchandise, and carry out the daily work of Care & Share. Without our volunteers, we simply couldn’t do what we do.

The walls also recognize those who have helped shape Care & Share along the way, including our founders, former Board members, volunteers, and community partners.
