We have appreciated so greatly the positive feedback and support you have been providing since the announcement that we have signed a contract to move Care & Share to the former Nationwide/Harleysville Insurance campus.
We have announced this to our team members, but we have not made further public announcements. Since this isn’t a ‘done deal’, we are holding off until we receive the necessary municipal approvals for the property before going further with our plans. Of course, the word has been spreading around the local communities, and some inquiries are starting to come in.
Here’s an update for our team members, with what we know as of the end of June.
We have ongoing meetings with the developer who owns the property. The developer team is very excited to welcome Care & Share to the property, and has undertaken much work with the township as they prepare to officially ask for approvals. While the developer is optimistic, the first meeting with the township commission will not occur until mid-July. Meanwhile, C&S administration and board have been working with the developer’s team on plans for the interior fit out, which will start shortly after approvals are received. We continue to be hopeful for a timeline that culminates in being in the space by the start of the new year.
When people ask us (which they do, by telephone, social media and email) if we’re moving, our reply is along this line: Thank you for your inquiry! As we approach our 50th Anniversary this fall, we are looking at the best options going forward for Care & Share. At this time, nothing is finalized. Please follow our social media and/or website, any updates would be posted there. Thank you for your interest and support of Care & Share’s mission.
We ask for your continued prayer support as we move through this process.
