David has volunteered at Care & Share for over 10 years and currently serves in the Outlet every Friday evening. You may also catch him shopping in Furniture where he is just as likely to be helping out a customer when he is off duty as he is when he is clocked in. That’s just David, helpful, knowledgeable, and a worker bee.

David’s career was in office furniture, working with several local companies including Lizell Office Furniture and 309 Office Furniture. David was the installation supervisor, installing office cubicles throughout our area – including in the current C&S Furniture Shoppe when it was still the Mosaic Conference Office. He has also always been very active within his community. He played on and managed a men’s recreational baseball team called the 1960s Pirates. He remains active in his church, Grace Bible in Souderton, and serves as a head usher. David’s wife, Cynthia, served as the Pantry Manager at Keystone Opportunity Center for 14 years. She is now retired but busier than ever. David retired at 66 and 2 months, just after COVID began to decline, but has since started up two part time jobs. He works at Bucks County Estate Trader, feeding his antique interest. He also works at a lamp shop, following in his father’s footsteps who worked weekends at Hershey Lamp Factory. David and Cynthia have two daughters that are both married as well as 3 grand dogs & a cat.

As a lover of antiques and collectibles, David started as a shopper here and then began volunteering on Thursday and Friday evenings while he was still working full-time. He loves to hunt for antiques to restore in his spare time and finds many of those projects right here at Care & Share. David loves volunteering at Care & Share because it keeps him busy, keeps his mind occupied, and provides an opportunity to give back to his community.
