Mix up your dishes with a pop of green this summer! Care & Share’s Auction App is currently running a set of 2 Anchor Hocking Fire-King Oven Ware Jadeite 9″ and 10″ Diameter Swirl Pattern Mixing Bowls!
Anchor Hocking began making its well-known Fire-King Jadeite glassware in the 1940s. The line was discontinued in 1976. In 2000, the company started up a commemorative line up of jadeite dishes. The dishes we are highlighting are from that commemorative collection, denoted by the “2000 Anchor Hocking Fire King” marking on the bottom of the bowls.
The history of the Anchor Hocking Ohio company is a storied one and includes crossing paths with presidential candidate, and US Senator, Mitt Romney! He was brought on to the Anchor Hocking team as a consultant in 1975 to aid in making the company more competitive in the container business.
Today, the Anchor Hocking company continues to reside in Lancaster Ohio making glass bakeware. Their modern glass storage container line can be found at large stores such as Walmart, Kohl’s and BJ’s. But, if you’re looking for the vintage Fire-King line, please check out our auction app for this great offering!
