Care & Share is discontinuing the use of plastic utensils in the breakrooms. We understand that plastic utensils are more convenient, however, they are not environmentally friendly or cost-effective. Our generous donors provide metal utensils. These will be stocked in the breakrooms instead of the plastic ones. Once used, we would appreciate you rinsing the item and placing it in the dishwasher, not the sink. Please do not hand wash these items. Each evening we run both breakroom dishwashers. Plastic utensils will continue to be used for special events, but on a day-to-day basis we can all do our part to help our planet by reducing our waste and taking advantage of the sustainable resources at our disposal.
