Reindeer Visit

Thank you to everyone who helped make Friday, December 12, 2025’s Reindeer Visit a success. We hosted two live reindeer in the center’s parking lot from 4 to 8PM. Quite a number of families and individuals came to view the animals and learn some interesting reindeer facts from their owners. We distributed coupons for a free children’s book to those under 12, and provided the adults with a $5.00 shopping coupon, valid in our shoppes that evening. We stayed open an hour longer than usual, until 8.

New for this year, we moved the location of the event from the south end of the center (near the Outlet) to the center of the shoppes, directly outside the Book Shoppe. This resulted in more of our guests visiting the north shoppes, Clothing and Furniture.

The Goodwill truck was present serving hot dogs and hot chocolate. We appreciate their service.

We distributed over 230 children’s books that evening, and 256 shopping coupons were redeemed. Overall, sales for the four-hour period totaled over $7,000! The shoppes were buzzing with shoppers and children. The revenues exceeded those for the 2024 event by nearly $500.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this a success. The volunteers and staff who prepared merchandise, stocked shelves, or worked retail, your efforts added to this great community event! We also thank the staff who set up the inviting display and took it down, the setting made for a great backdrop.
