Team Member Purchases
As we settle into our new location in Harleysville, we want to update our team members on some of the procedures around your purchases. Here’s what you need to know!
The way team member discounts are earned has not changed. Volunteers who average 8-15 hours a month receive 25%, and those who average 16 hours or more monthly receive 50%. Excluded from discount are yellow and white tag items, auctions, ebay, and merchandise priced with the current tag pricing color. As previously announced, during the summer months of transition between Souderton and Harleysville, we have not altered discounts related to service. Beginning in September, we will track hours as we had in the past.
Paying for your Purchase
When checking out, team members must be checked out by a paid staff. This may mean that you will need to wait a bit longer if the line is long. We thank you for your patience!
Holding Merchandise
If you see something you would like to buy on the retail floor while you are working, you may take it to the checkout area where it will be held for you until the end of your shift. There will be a cart in the hub area for these items, as well as a small clothing rack. Merchandise may only be held for the same-day purchase. With the increased traffic through the hub area, Hub Manager Amanda has been instructed that all unpurchased items are to be returned to the sales floor at the end of each business day. We respectfully request you do not ask her to make exceptions. No merchandise is to be held under the register hubs. We do not shop from the production and tagging/pricing rooms, or the Outlet workroom. Only the retail spaces.
Returning Clothing Purchases
We will continue to allow clothing articles to be returned by team members only if the items are accompanied by the original receipt and returned within 30 days of purchase. We are asking that if you have a return, to allow the paid staff member to process your return at the ‘customer service register’, which is Register #8. When your turn in line is next, please proceed to register 8 with your return. You may also pay for any new purchases at the same time. We are doing this so that other customers who may be nearby do not become confused by a return of goods; as for the general public, all sales are final. With the completion of our new dressing rooms, we hope most items will be tried on for fit prior to purchase.
The Outlet in Souderton
The discount and return policies are unchanged at the Outlet. Discounts are limited to Birthday discounts or other special promotions that we may hold for team members or the public from time to time.
