Volunteers Tour Our New Home

On a recent Saturday, nearly 80 volunteers joined Sarah Bergin and Suzanne Kratz for special tours of Care & Share’s future home in Harleysville. The enthusiasm was contagious as volunteers explored the building, learned about upcoming renovations, and shared in the excitement of what lies ahead for our organization.

One of the highlights of the day was an unexpected love story connected to our new location! Volunteer Doreen Clemmer shared that she once worked at the very building we will soon call home. While working there, a friendly mailman named Leroy caught her eye. One conversation led to another, and before long they were dating. Eventually, Doreen and Leroy were married. It was especially meaningful to have both of them join the tour and share their story in the place where their journey together began.

We are incredibly grateful for the tremendous interest shown by our volunteers and for the many encouraging comments, questions, and ideas shared throughout the tours. Your support, enthusiasm, and commitment to our mission make this exciting transition possible.
